Trolls are rare creatures and minor antagonists that only appear in both Rayman Raving Rabbids and Rayman Raving Rabbids (Nintendo DS) as enemies.
Rayman Raving Rabbids[]
They first appear in the minigame Bunnies don't Know What To Do With Cows, where they are watching rayman throwing Daisy through a cemetery. If Rayman launches Daisy in the wrong direction, a cutscene plays showing either one of the trolls or rabbids getting crushed by her.
They reappear in Bunnies Can't Jump, where a Giant Troll and a Little Troll are swinging a chain Rayman must jump over in a game of jumprope while some other Rabbids and Trolls watch in amusement. If Rayman trips over the chain, he falls backward and the Trolls and Rabbids laugh at him. Despite this, the player can still win if Rayman gets 2000 points.
They also appear in Bunnies Like A Good Race, where we can see 4 Trolls riding warthogs. The player must beat the record time in first place to win.
The trolls reappear in Race Good A Like Bunnies, which is the same aforementioned minigame but in this scenario, Rayman rides in the opposite direction from the other racers.
In the DS port, they are seen as enemies, either normal, big or red. The regular kind drops one star item while the big ones drop two. The red versions only appear in challenge stages.
They are usually seen walking back and forth, sometimes in and out of the screen, on stationary platforms. They are the first enemies to be encountered in the game and make their first appearance during the tutorial stages on the beach. Colossus also spawns Trolls in front of Rayman in the boss battle. Regular and big Trolls are grey in color and they only deal damage on contact.
Trivia[]
- The Trolls, along with Pink, Serguei, and Daisy the cow, never appeared in another Rabbids game aside from a few cameos.
- They only appear in cemetery levels in the first game while in the DS port they are seen as enemies.
- As their filename suggests from the leak of the Rayman Raving Rabbids prototype, the Trolls were originally called Nurgles
