Rabbid Yoshi is the last unlockable Rabbid in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. His appearance is that of a normal Rabbid dressed up in a costume of Yoshi. However, he is more hyperactive than most other Rabbids, as proven when he shoots Calavera after being rescued from him, but he can't ever keep his eyes facing the same way.
Powers and Abilties[]
In battle, his primary weapon is the Rumblebang, a round machine gun with medium range, shared with Yoshi. His secondary weapon is the Grenaduck, an explosive rubber ducky that can damage ANYONE in range, which is shared with Princess Peach. Outer Shell is a technique that protects Rabbid Yoshi from one attack, but can be upgraded to absorb a second one. This technique is shared with the Hopper enemy archetype. Rabbid Yoshi's secondary technique is Scaredy Rabbid. Shared with Calavera (his captor) and the Lava Queen, Rabbid Yoshi uses the signature scream of the Rabbids to repel nearby enemies, making them vulnerable to line-of-sight techniques (Luigi's Steely Stare, for example). Rabbid Yoshi has the most possible dash attacks in a single movement.
Rabbid Yoshi's primary weapon is the Rumblebang, a gatling gun-esque weapon that deals several hits, resulting in either sub par, or tremendous damage. Rabbid Yoshi's secondary weapon is the Grenaduck, an explosive rubber duck that functions similarly to a grenade. Rabbid Yoshi's dash is similar to Rabbid Peach's Stylish Dash, though Rabbid Yoshi is allowed to have more dashes (with the maximum being 5, as opposed to Rabbid Peach's 4). Rabbid Yoshi's first special ability is Outer Shell, which is a high-risk, high-reward shield that nullifies all movement or weapon damage, though it can only take one hit from an enemy (however, a Skill Tree upgrade allows Outer Shell to sustain two hits). Rabbid Yoshi's second special ability is Scaredy Rabbid, which repels any nearby enemies. Like Rabbid Mario's Magnet Dance, it can also be used in conjunction with "line-of-sight techniques" or weapons that have a high chance of inflicting Burn, Push or Bounce. Like Rabbid Luigi's Super Barrier, Rabbid Yoshi's Outer Shell ability can also be used in tandem with Princess Peach's Protection ability to reduce damage greatly.
Personality[]
Rabbid Yoshi is described as crazed, tending to act before thinking about the consequences. His personality is similar to most other members of his species; reckless, crazed, mischievous, and playful. However, when compared to other Rabbids, Rabbid Yoshi could be considered even more hyperactive, a trait supported by his decision to keep his own weapons in his mouth, as well as the many wild facial expressions he pulls. He is also shown to be trigger-happy during the defeat of Calavera in Spooky Trails, where the Rabbid chose to keep shooting at Calavera despite the battle being over.
History[]
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle[]
Rabbid Yoshi was once an ordinary Rabbid up until he was fused with (presumably) a Yoshi costume by Spawny and transported to the Mushroom Kingdom. He lands in Spooky Trails but is quickly captured by Calavera.
Spooky Trails[]
When the heroes make their way to the clock tower to open the Moon Gate, they encounter Calavera, who uses Rabbid Yoshi as a weapon by making him cough up Grenaducks at the heroes. He was saved after Calavera is defeated and he takes revenge by shooting him after he falls down the well. They arrive at the clock tower and reversed time to bring the full moon back into position to open the gate. Once they go through, Bowser Jr. is revealed to be the culprit behind the mysterious texts under the name "Tom Phan" and makes Spawny merge a Rabbid with a gramophone and a Boo balloon and becomes the Phantom of the Bwahpera, who sings a degrading song about Mario and his series, before they eventually defeat him.
Lava Pit[]
They head to the Lava Pit where it was revealed that Bowser Jr. turned the volcano into a factory to build his army. As they continue to venture through the harsh environment, they are confronted by Jr. who is piloting the Mecha Jr. to fight them. They quickly defeat him, but it results in Spawny falling off the ledge, causing Jr. to flee in guilt. Yoshi managed to arrive to save Spawny, allowing him to survive and join the team as they escape the crystal mines. However, Spawny is hypnotized by the Megabug's energy, and the creature absorbs him and flies to Bowser's Castle. Bowser Jr. returns to criticize them for their carelessness before he gets a text from Bowser that he is returning home early, much to Jr.'s alarm and heads to the castle. After defeating Bwario and Bwaluigi and the Lava Queen, they arrive at Bowser's Castle where Bowser Jr. begs the team to save Bowser, who was fused with the Megabug. After the battle, Bowser is freed, and the heroes then destroy the Megabug, closing the vortex and saving Spawny. Bowser Jr. is grateful to them and asks if they could speak to Bowser for him. After that, they have a Rabbid Peach statue inaugurated which she then happily gets everyone in for a group selfie.
